My current must haves

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a post (uni life really does get in the way) however I’m back with new products ideas and reviews to share with you all. So what better way to get back into it than a little summary of my current favourites… hope you enjoy!

BEAUTY BAKERIE FLOUR BAKING POWDER

First up is my new holy grail powder from Beauty Bakerie. You may have heard of this brand after it went viral with the whole Huda scandal which was down to it’s unique ‘sweet’ marketing concept. As stated in the name the brand is centred around baking having products such as Cake Mix Foundation, Cake Pop Lippies and my new favourite their Flour Baking Powder.

downloadThe product retails for £22.50 which is particularly pricey for just a powder but for me, the packaging of this blows all others out the water. The product comes in a literal flour bag, nothing fancy but a concept which I think is amazing. The powder itself encased in a golden round pot making it look that little bit more luxurious and comes in seven different shades, catering to every skin tone. At first glance you can see that the powder is finely milled and once applied to the skin blends in flawlessly. I picked it up in the shade oat which is translucent yet somehow brightens your skin a little making it easier to hide any discolouration. The powder mattifies your skin beautifully and most importantly helps keep you makeup in place ALL day.  I highly recommend this powder if you’re thinking of splashing out on a new one and can’t wait to try more products from the brand.

TOO FACED LADY BALLS

I think every beauty junkies always on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick. Although I’ve not quite found it yet, Too faced’s Melted Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘Lady Balls‘ isn’t too022_toofaced_meltedmatte_ladyballs_1_1560x1960-rltw7far off. The lippy retails for £19, which to me is rather overpriced, however for the colour I think I can look past it. As always Too Faced’s packaging initially makes the product stand out with its unique shape and gold embossing on the front. The lipstick itself is a creamy, fast-drying formula that glides onto the lips. Although the colour is gorgeous, the staying power is what does it for me, the vibrant red will last hours on your lips even after food and drink- a winner in my eyes.

FRESH SOY FACE CLEANSER

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen this product on my story recently. After my holy grail Witch hazel face wash was discontinued I had to find an alternative Soy_FaceCleanser_packshot_50ml_close_silothat actually took my cake face off at the end of the day. It’s safe to say that this product does exactly that, if not better! I came across the brand ‘Fresh‘ after helplessly browsing for hours on Cult Beauty. At first I was wanting a foaming face wash, as up until now that was the only type that completely took my makeup off, however after spotting this little gem was suitable for eyes I had to give it a go. The packaging is simple and sleek and the cleanser smells of fresh cucumbers, I honestly don’t know how it’s s cheap! The cleanser is a gel like formula that begins to foam when applied to wet skin. I have sensitive skin and it’s so gentle whilst removing every scrap of makeup (even waterproof mascara), win win! it also leaves your skin feeling smooth and radiant. So if you’re looking for an affordable cleanser I’d definitely recommend.

PIXI GLOW TONIC

Now this is no new favourite of mine, however after running out I’ve realised how much I actually need it in my skincare routine. Last year PIXI changed the skincare game after introducing their world famous Glow Tonic into our makeup bags. It’s truly hard to GUEST_38b16789-6bec-4dbf-84e8-33d2e2091c20describe how good this leaves your skin, but somewhere in between a glazed doughnut and a silk sheet will do. This tonic is packed with Glycolic acid which helps to gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and leaving you with a noticeable glow. As it’s so gentle you can use it everyday on your face and after a while you’ll see more of an even tone alongside discolouration and scars disappearing. If I had to choose one item to take to a desert island I honestly think I’d chose this, I can’t recommend it enough.

If you’ve got this far thank you so much for reading! Let me know your thoughts on these if you’ve tried any, or if there’s any products you’re loving at the minute I’d love to hear!
